Summer is on full blast, which means one thing: we are spending as much time as possible in a bikini and out in the sun! If you're like most women, though, you probably have plenty of days where you dread being in a bikini, inspire of wanting to enjoy yourself in the sun. Well, fear not! With a little know-how, you can look and feel your best in (almost) any bikini. Here are five essential TikTok bikini hacks every woman needs to know to help you feel your most confident.


  • Choose a bikini that compliments your body

Every body is uniquely beautiful. Your curves, lengths and dips all make you YOU. Depending on your body type, there is a bikini style that will accentuate your body’s beauty, which will help you feel the most confident in a barely there bikini.

For example: If you have a longer torso, a high hip bikini bottom will help your legs look longer. If you have a short torso, a lower cut bikini will add length to your torso.


  • Create more shape with color blocking

If you want to create the illusion of a more hourglass-shaped figure, try color blocking. This simply means wearing a bikini top and bottom in two different (but complementary) colors. For example, you could pair a black bottom with a white or brightly-colored top. The contrast between the two colors will help to define your waist and give the illusion of a more curvaceous figure.

If you are like me, you probably like to wear a different bikini every time you are in the sun. Some bikinis can leave some funky tan lines. So the night before you head back out in the sun, apply some self tanner to even out your color and give you an even glow.

It’s really worth it! Laser hair removal is becoming more and more popular among women. It is a safe, and fairly painless way to say goodbye for good to ingrown hair, having to shave frequently, and razor bumps. There’s a catch to starting your treatments in the summer though. You will need to avoid sun exposure for about 10 days prior to getting your treatment, so I recommend getting it started in the fall, that way by the next summer you will be as smooth as sleek as a dolphin!
